Every year over the Columbus Day weekend,  you can tour the Blacstone Valley visiting historical sites in MA & RI.  2009 marks the Fourth Annual venture which will last the entire month of October:

  • 100 experiences throughout the Blackstone River Valley
  • 24 communities from Worcester, MA to  Providence, RI
  • 500 years of history, culture and the arts
  • What's going on at Sweetwilliam Farm over the Columbus Day Weekend:

    Noon - 4pm, all three days

    Special Weekend Activities:
    Hay Wagon Rides - A 1/2 hour hay ride, available Sunday & Monday on the hour (noon, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00)
    Farm Tours - A 45 min walking tour of the farm, available Saturday on the hour (1:00, 2:00, 3:00)
    Old Fashioned Field Games - Behind the store on the 1/2 hour (12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30)

    Cider Demo – using an antique cider
    Pumpkin Carving & Decorating

    Sunday's special activities:
    4-H booth with animals & crafts
    Girl Scout booth with crafts and a fundraiser for the troops oversees

    Fees associated with some activites:
    Hayride - $3.00 pp - A 1/2 hour hay wagon ride explores the hay fields and back woods of the property
    Pumpkins - $3.00 per pumpkin - Carve or dacorate your own halloween pumpkin creation, tools & crafts are supplied.
    Mini Pumpkins - $1.50 ea.

    Food: Ice cream, drinks & snacks available in the store.
